Meet The Crew

Richard K. Locke was the Founder and former Principal Owner of Intrepid Financial. He served as the Lead Portfolio Manager for the firm. Rich was a former practicing Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who began providing advisory and planning services to clients in 1988. He formed Intrepid Financial in 1998 to focus exclusively on fee-based investment management.

Intrepid Financial was named after the USS Intrepid where Rich served during his time with the United States Navy from 1964-68. Upon completing his service to our country, Rich graduated from Indiana University Northwest with a degree in accounting. While at IU, Rich served as president of the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity.

Rich is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joan Locke, who now serves as the Principal Owner of Intrepid Financial.
